Promoting the use of Public Areas for Sustainable Stormwater Management in Cities with Mediterranean Climate

This presentation focuses on showcasing small scale sustainable stormwater management techniques and their possible implementation into public areas on the case of the city of Limassol. Furthermore, it looks into the transformation of public areas into multifunctional spaces. The author underlines that the presented techniques can be standalone or supplementary to the existing conventional drainage systems. The efforts presented are being done in order to incorporate sustainable practices into the mindset of infrastructure design.
